The spring and the summer months are the best times to catch Mahi Mahi Mahi in Florida. The Atlantic Ocean is less than 10 miles away from this migratory fish, and you can see it there between April and October. The Mahi mahi can grow up to 63inches in length, and weigh about 30 pounds.

Dolphins are most active between the hours of 10 and noon, and 2 pm and dusk.

They built a path from Choctawhatchee Bay until the Gulf of Mexico. They were correct. The floodwaters were released just as the digging began and rushed through to create what we now refer to as the East Pass.

About twenty minutes. The ride to the island takes about twenty minutes. There are great opportunities to spot manatees, turtles, and dolphins along the way. On the ferry boat, we often see seabirds on our journey to Shell Key.

Two times we visited the shell island beach. One time we paid PS7.50 in order to park on/in the "island" and the second time we drove to Llanddwywe, further down the coast, to access a public parking garage. The beach is enormous and so clean and tidy.
